Get that Job Series

jobbks

The Get That Job series was developed and authored by Winifred Ho Roderman and me for Contemporary Books in 1998.(This house is now an imprint of McGraw-Hill Publications.) The series helps readers develop and improve essential job search skills and strategies.

The books were specifically designed for adults who have never held a job or who have not worked in many years. They are also useful for teenagers and college students who are looking for part-time employment as well as for experienced workers who are seeking new jobs.

Each book focuses readers on a particular job search skill such as using a telephone. Exercises and activities provide practice in language, math, and communication skills that are related to real job search situations. Readers are also exposed to job application forms and other materials that they may encounter in their job hunt. In addition, various checklists are provided to help readers better plan and organize their job hunt.
